The Initiative

Know a man who needs this?

Some men will never buy a journal for themselves. Not because they don’t need space. Because they’re used to carrying things quietly.

The Initiative exists to put The Journal into the hands of men who could benefit from reflection, clarity, and space to think.

Nominations close on the last day of every month Selected recipients announced on the first day of each month.

Why we’re doing this

Reflection is a tool.

At Memoirs by Him, we believe reflection is one of the most powerful tools a man can have.

But too many men are carrying things quietly.

They work. They train. They build. They show up. They say they’re fine. But behind closed doors, a lot of men are dealing with loneliness, pressure, stress, disconnection, and thoughts they rarely give themselves space to process.

This Initiative exists because we don’t believe men should have to figure everything out alone.

Sometimes the first step is not a conversation. Sometimes it’s a page.

The Initiative is our way of supporting men through reflection, clarity, and personal growth by putting The Journal into the hands of men who may not have gone looking for it themselves.

What is The Initiative?

A nomination-based giveaway.

The Initiative is a nomination-based giveaway by Memoirs by Him.

We’re giving away up to five Memoirs by Him journals to up to five individual nominees across Australia.

You can nominate yourself or another man in your life.

If fewer than five suitable nominations are received, we may choose to give away fewer than five journals.

How it works

Nominate yourself or someone you care about. Tell us who you’re nominating and why you believe The Journal could be valuable for him.
We review the nominations. We’ll read each eligible nomination and select recipients based on alignment with the purpose of The Initiative.
Up to five men will receive The Journal. Selected recipients will each receive one Memoirs by Him journal.
Recipients are announced on the first day of every month. We intend to announce selected recipients at approximately 8:00pm AEST.
Sharing their story is optional. Selected recipients may be invited to share their experience, but this is completely optional and only with direct consent.

What they’ll receive

The Journal.

Each selected recipient will receive one Memoirs by Him journal.

The Journal is a guided journal built to help men slow down, think clearly, communicate better, and recognise the patterns that keep repeating.

It is designed for men who want structure, not empty pages. Prompts, reflection, and space to think.

  • Clarity
  • Self-awareness
